One of which is yachting based, this will engage indigenous participants in the round Australia Yacht race, Hamilton Island race week and various other highly regarded yachting events in Australia. We believe this activity will allow indigenous australians to feel pride in their achievements in this highly competative sport and will present opportunities to demonstrate their achievenents to many wealthy corporations and business people creating opportunity."

  • Angeline Penrith: try employing and training the community...if there were teachers from the community it would solve unemployment and create self determination!
  • At the moment AIMSC needs to be more accountable to its people and to our unemployed brothers and sisters. That means our Indigenous businesses and organisations need to support what everyone else is attempting to do here and that is to gain more employment for Indigenous people.
  • Belinda Briggs: the answers lie within the individuals and their community.. solutions should be local.. for every community there will be a different solution.. and the solution should have a wholistic approach to life and not just an emphasis on the most obvious "issue" "concern" or whatever the deficit of an individual, family or community
